An open letter to all opportunity seekers... |
 |
Dear Prospective Business Owner,
I'm probably a lot like you. As a young man, I used to sit and dream of being rich someday. Big houses, fancy cars, trips to exotic places, and everything else that goes with it. In my 20’s I tried a number of different jobs but had a hard time keeping them because they just didn’t keep me interested. The thought of having a boss and being told what to do—and worst of all, not getting RICH—made me decide to start my own business. So I started my search for a business...but a business doing WHAT?
Here's the list I came up with as I dreamed up the ULTIMATE BUSINESS CRITERIA:
- Money: Every kid dreams of being not just rich—but really rich!!
- Leverage: The business cannot be dependant on my being IN it all the time, and forever.
- Time: Ability to have enough time to enjoy my money and spend time with my family.
- Variety: I couldn't stand the thought of doing the same old boring thing everyday.
- Credibility: Something I could tell my friends, family, and contacts about with pride.
- In Demand: Sell a product or service that was needed by the marketplace.
- Unique: I didn't want to be selling the same thing that somebody could get at a thousand different places.
- Low Start Up Cost: Who wants to carry a $1m of inventory just to make $100k? Not me.
- No Employees: I didn't want to manage a bunch of people...I wanted to do it on my own.
The Problem: There Was No Business That Matched My Wish List
I started searching earnestly. I read dozens of books on success, sales, marketing, advertising, and entrepreneurship. I considered direct sales, importing/exporting, real estate, retail stores, car washes, money lending, computers, vending machines, and everything else I could think of. And yes all of these businesses had their relative pros and cons, but none came close to matching my ULTIMATE BUSINESS criteria.
In all of my research there were two business concepts that kept coming up trumps – one was in the area of distribution and the other in licensing and franchising. So for a while I became involved in each of them. First in Y2K software distribution and then in franchising. Both businesses were great experiences and good training grounds. I made plenty of mistakes but learnt a lot in the process.
I then realised if I could marry my experience in the area of distribution with licensing and franchising I could create my ultimate business and so … I did.
I started by gathering together a team of experts in the fields of franchising, marketing, retail operation, software development, website development and accounting. Together we pooled our talents and experience and developed the Franchise For Success Program. The product turned out to be fantastic, exceeding even my expectations. Quite simply it was ground breaking.
For the first time business owners with limited funds could franchise their business. The Franchise For Success Program demystified the legal requirements and put into plain English what was required. And not only did it provide a wealth of information on recruiting franchisees, negotiating shop leases, packaging franchise offers, lead generation etc. It also allowed business owners to create customised operational and legal documents unique to their business – those same documents that are required by all franchises under Federal law.
With the product developed my next challenge which was to create a means of distribution. In setting up the distribution channel I wanted to ensure that the Distribution channel was the best it could be and that the distributors could make really good money and recoup their initial investment as quickly as possible.
To our knowledge there is no another business that makes the same offer. Of course, we don't know if you're the right person for this business—and neither do you. That's why you need to visit our website and then make an appointment for a phone consultation with one of our sales consultants.
So if the business interests you and you're qualified and accepted into the program, I look forward to meeting you personally when you come to Sydney.
Sincerely,
James Corne
Managing Director
